ICC World Business Summit 2010

Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre

30 June 2010

The transformation of the global economy continues unabated. New markets, new technologies, new actors and new business models proliferate. New challenges present new opportunities – notably in all emerging green sectors. In all these dimensions, the Asia-Pacific Region is clearly the most prominent arena where developments will occur. All of these factors underline more than ever the imperative of global interdependence; global challenges require global solutions. The booming Asia-Pacific Region seeks not to cut loose from the planet; but on the contrary to secure global moorings in order to make the interdependence robust, dynamic and sustainable.

The over-riding Asia perspective is that while there may be a proliferation of new forces, challenges and opportunities, the locomotive of globalization has always been and will always be trade! The world needs more trade, not less trade, though the world also needs new trade/business strategies and models. This Summit will address these issues.
